- Jani Strasser writes, “I have just realized that I have not yet formally accepted your offer of engagement for the Edinburgh season, and I should like now to confirm that I agree to act as principal coach in the Glyndebourne productions of Macbeth and Figaro at £15.0.0 per week from July 21st to September 13th incl. We have naturally not yet discussed my billing in the programme and I should be very interested to hear what you suggest.”
