Rudolf Bing writes, “I am very busy and already deeply involved in the planning of my first season, but it has to be done step by step and every step has to be taken cautiously and everything takes a long time; I am devising a completely new subscription system and drastically cutting the number of operas to be performed.”
He continues, “...I miss the unforgettably happy atmosphere in our office; we still laugh not enough here…”
