Correspondence detailing the development and production of The Beggar's Opera in 1940. This was staged at the Theatre Royal, Haymarket in London and in theatres in Brighton, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Liverpool and Manchester. It was the first time Glyndebourne had created a production that was not staged at Glyndebourne.
